ABAR is an acronym for Accredited in Business Appraisal Review<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of a business valuation report review is to determine the credibility and reliability of a business valuation report. \u00a0A business valuation review should provide one of three Opinions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finding of Concurrence<\/li>\n<li>Finding of Non-concurrence<\/li>\n<li>Finding of No opinion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A finding of concurrence indicates the report being reviewed is credible, reliable, and in conformity with generally accepted business valuation practices and standards relied upon by business appraisers<\/p>\n<p>A finding of non-concurrence indicates the report being reviewed is not credible, is not reliable, and is not in conformity with generally accepted business valuation practices and standards relied upon by business appraisers<\/p>\n<p>A finding of no opinion would indicate the reviewer could not form an opinion due the limitations in the scope and procedures permitted in the review.<\/p>\n<p>Three major factors \u201cdrive\u201d the credibility and reliability of a business valuation report:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sound valuation theory<\/li>\n<li>Proper selection and application of valuation methodology<\/li>\n<li>Critical thinking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A valuation review report should place primary focus on these three critical components of the report under review.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Business valuation review is the newest discipline in the business valuation profession.
